transformers 2: TV spots and new bot!

and i made a rhyme on the headline there. well, three tv spots to show just how awesome Transformers 2 is gonna be. more footage of robots. more explosions. more transforming. no bitchslapping optimus prime. maybe from the previous two trailers, he will only just be tossed around twice. well, i guess, thats a good record as any for a robotic leader.

i love quotation marks. it gives me so much reason to be lazy. but i just think that its time that theres the antihero robot. like the Dinobot from the Beast Wars series (the only transformers series i know and come to love.)

Transformers 2: the TRAILER!

the new (okay, 2-3 weeks old) trailer. its freaking awesome and features MEGATRON!!!

megan fox is hot as ever. and i hope the picture above made u pause the video at i dunno.. 0:28 seconds? HAH! got ya!

u can again see optimus prime and sam whitwicky get their ass handed to them. so awesome. looks to have much more complicated fight scenes. hopefully, more contrast between the autobots and decepticons.

ah! comic movies of the year are coming to an end. and we are left with few options. but this looks to be better than the first one. so shall just look forward to this now that terminator's a disappointment. ah well..

heres the confirmed Transformers 2 robot roster, from filmschoolrejects.

AUTOBOTS

* OPTIMUS PRIME: The Autobots’ leader - alternate form: Peterbilt truck.
* IRONHIDE: Weapons specialist - GMC Topkick.
* RATCHET: Medic - Hummer H2.
* BUMBLEBEE: Friend and mode of transportation for Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) - 2010 Chevorlet Camaro.
* ARCEE: A female Autobot - Megan Fox’s hot-pink motorcycle.
* JETFIRE: As in the original, this fighter plane crash-landed on Earth a long time ago, and he will become a reformed Decepticon now fighting for the humans. His alternate form is the SR-71 Blackbird, the outdated but still-sleek Cold War spy plane.
* JOLT: the original toy was a Decepticon, but in the movie he’s a good guy - Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid.
* SKID & MUDFLAP: a.k.a. “The Twins” - Chevrolet Beat and Trax concept cars.

* STARSCREAM: Formerly Megatron’s second in command, he escaped at the end of the first movie; F-22 Raptor jet.
* SCORPONOK: The mechanical scorpion that attacked the American troops in the desert.
* THE FALLEN: an ancient robot, sort of the Transformers’ version of Lucifer. He’s one of the original robot aliens, and his defiance and arrogance led to his banishment into another dimension. The screenwriters say that The Fallen holds the key to life on both Earth and Cybertron, the Transformers’ home planet.
* SIDEWAYS: The Audi R8 seen crashing through a building in the trailer.
* SOUNDWAVE: A cassette player in the original toys; his alternate mode will fly. According to the screenwriters, this evil communications officer will appear as a orbiting space satellite.
* RAVAGE: A four-legged, cat-like robot (seen in the trailers and pictured above).
* THE DOCTOR: A spider-like droid that transforms into various implements of torture and has a not-so-nice encounter with star Shia LaBeouf.
* WHEELIE: A small, radio-controlled truck.
* DEMOLISHER: One of the Constructicons that transform into construction vehicles.

i ve read its gonna be like a ninja fembot! how cool is that?! plus megan will be riding her. how hot is that?!

the twins:
cos they are twins! cos everyone digs twins? cos good things comes in twos? cos 1 + 1 = 2?

Soundwave:
i have wondered what they were gonna be doing for this guy as his music player form was already used by another robot in the 1st movie. and a freaking satellite? how will that even work? gawd! its freaking awesome.

fallen:
cos hes the title character. i hope they really show the character but seeing Transformers1 and this f up roster, its probable there will be a 5 min origin flashback.

Devastator!:
cos hes devastating!

Micheal Bay has finally decided to let Frank Welker in on his gig. Welker did the voice for good ol megatron in the 80's cartoon series and his voice, along with Peter Cullen's who did Optimus Prime, were immediately classics for the Transformers following. though Cullen got the role as prime in 07's Transformers, Hugo Weaving (V in V for vendetta, Agent Smith in the Matrix) did the voice for megatron and will continue to do so in revenge of the fallen.

however, Welker will be voicing Soundwave. though not that big a badass as megatron, Welker also did voice Soundwave back in the cartoon series. PLUS soundwave will be one of the cooler robots in T2 as he has a partner (raise eyebrows) in the form of Ravage, the one eyed black panther!


i love the transformers that have their own pets. i think its adorable! i have a cat too. pity it doesnt change to a missle.
